Counting Down the Days...

I'm so excited! Farmer's markets, Old Navy, homemade ice cream...sounds almost like a dream. Ten days. Two hands' worth. I'm counting.

This past weekend was a good one. Our FRG had reserved two lanes at the Arena bowling alley on Saturday, and between 9 of us including me, I won both games! I was so proud of myself! Lori, our FRG leader, gave me a prize of a little box of scented tealight candles for my win. And Jericho sat happily in his stroller and watched the action with no fuss, so I rewarded him with some playtime on the football field so he could stretch his legs. It's proven to be the best way for him to practice walking, and he can do so without Mom following his every move. We really need a big yard.

Speaking of yard....the Housing issue has stalled for the moment. As it stands, one neighbor has moved out, one has accepted a place downtown and has yet to move, and now there are two of us left. Amanda is waiting for Housing to give her more choices, and I'm still waiting on a reply from the Programs Manager about private lease. It's been almost two weeks since I last e-mailed him, so I'm hoping he's taking so long because he's busy getting things done for us. He knows that my top priority with a home is plenty of space for my son to grow and play, and government lease just hasn't provided that. So we'll see.

I've also started going back to the gym. I LOVE the gym, but it's been since before Jericho was born that I last went. We go during "Toddler in Tow" hours, so there aren't a lot of people in the cardio room. Jericho has been doing great while watching Mom sweat her butt off on the elliptical machine, so we head over to the football field afterwards. My neighbor Amanda has been a huge help with Jericho. It's like having an extra pair of hands with good conversation! She even folded down the Big Giant Stroller on the first try...now that's impressive.

Have a great week!
