Cherries!

Monday night, some friends and Jericho and I headed to the town of Castegnero for the cherry festival. Knowing that the only parking available would be in the street, and knowing there would be a lot of people, we left for the festival early in the hopes of getting a good spot. One of the girls with us is due to have a baby in about 3 weeks, so I wasn't about to make her walk up and down hills and busy side streets from having to park far away. We were the first ones there, so we spent some time looking around and taking pictures. Once the party got started, we decided to check out the food booth.

I let Jericho run and check out the place, but in the process of his running, he kept tripping on the uneven cement and skinned his knees pretty badly. It didn't seem to bother him as much as being put back in his stroller after the third fall. I made it up to him with a ride on the carousel, and we were even again.

We got home pretty late, but Jericho had a light snack and some milk and was ready to crash. With this being my last summer in Italy, I was glad to be able to take advantage of the cherry festival this year. One down, a summer-full to go!
