Wine, Day Trips and Taxes

Well, this babysitting thing is almost over for me...Sean's dad is supposed to get home sometime Friday. If it's early enough, I'm headed to the winery in Vo that day to stock up the wine rack - there are only 4 slots, so I won't spend much - and take a much-needed break. Sean is a good kid, but taking him to preschool every morning and picking him up every afternoon is wearing me down, especially because we live 25+ minutes from Post. He likes going to preschool and seeing his friends, though, and it gives me enough time in the day to clean house, read, do laundry and spend quality time with Jericho. For the past week or so I've been looking at places to go for a day trip when Michael gets home. Heaven knows we love Aviano, but every time we go, we end up spending a lot of money at the Air Force base there. And I need to take some new pictures! I'm thinking maybe a place we can get to within 2 hours would be good, so Jericho won't get tired or bored in the back seat. Just long enough to get out, see some new sights, take some great pictures, have a good meal of something we've never eaten before, relax and make it home by early evening. I can't wait to start planning...we both love day trips!

Jericho's Social Security card finally arrived in the mail yesterday, so we can get our taxes done! I'm a little excited to see how much we get back; I need a new pair of jeans! Of course we'll also put a little in Jericho's piggy bank. That boy's gonna go to college someday, and I don't want him to be paying student loans almost 10 years after he graduates. And y'all know how I hate to count my chickens, but I'm hoping we'll get back enough to start a "home for block leave" savings. We haven't been home in a while, and I'd love for Jericho to get to meet his extended family. We don't know when that will be yet, and we won't know for a while, but as soon as any plans are made - if any are made; it's still early - we'll let everyone know. It's been two years since I've seen some of you, so hopefully we can make it this year.

Ok, a certain someone is announcing that naptime is over, so have a good week!
