Sleeping Late and Vacation Time

I consider myself a good parent. I think I'm a pretty good mom. Jericho is a fairly easy baby; always has been, really. He eats well, is even-tempered and sleeps like a log. Because of that, I don't change our routine. It works for us. But lately, Jericho has been sleeping in, waking up a couple hours after his usual wake-up time. I don't know what I did right, but I'm not complaining! It does throw a wrench in our day as far as naptime and mealtime go, but we can work around that. A few extra zzz's in the morning are always appreciated!

So my vacation dates have changed. Michael and I and my mom have discussed and researched, and we've decided that my mom is going to fly out to Italy in mid-June to be with us for a few days, then fly back to NC with me and Jericho until the first of July. That day, Jericho and I will fly up to Iowa, meeting Michael there, and stay with his family until we fly back to Italy at the end of leave. I know it sucks that my family won't get to see Michael, but he explained that he doesn't really want to do a lot of travelling during his vacation. I can see his point - he's exhausted. He hasn't seen his family (except his mom, dad and brother who came to visit last summer) in two years. So some serious downtime with his own family and no stress over who-goes-where-and-when is understandable. And there's always the webcam, right?

So that's the plan, for now. Aunt Barbara, get that ice cream machine ready! We're coming!
