So a lot has happened since I mentioned the mold issue my neighbor and I are having. Long story short, Housing has sent engineers, program managers, inspectors, painters, plumbers, and the landlord to resolve/fix/paint over the issue. A certain guy at Housing is looking into getting us out of this building and (maybe) letting go of the lease, as its renewal is due soon. All those people came to Nikki's apartment on Thursday, and they're coming to mine on Monday. I discovered a patch of black mold in our bedroom, and that's one of the key issues being discussed - Housing is not happy with the fact that there's a young child living in these conditions, so the matter is being taken care of as quickly as possible.
Thank goodness it's Spring; keeping the windows open in the dead of winter wouldn't be as nice!
