Long time no see! Since leaving Italy February 18th, life has been a whirlwind, to say the least. Every day seems to be GOGOGO and BUSYBUSYBUSY, but that's the way it goes when you go home after being away for a while. During our stop in NC, we enjoyed some warm weather and sunshine that definitely spoiled us! We got to see and spend time with family, shop at American malls, sip on McDonald's sweet tea and spend countless hours outside with the neighbor's children. But most of all, I think my favorite part of this vacation is the fact that I don't have to worry about the flight back to Italy - there isn't one! There's no worry, no tension. Just excitement.
It's about time. Isn't that what vacation is supposed to be about?
The drive up to Iowa was a long one. More rest stops to change a Pull-Up or fill up on fuel and food. One extra hotel stay. Using every possible charging station in the car to make sure there's plenty of happy distraction in the back seat.
We got to Sibley around noon on Tuesday. Today Michael is out ice fishing with his brother Bobby and Grandma and Grandpa are at work. Jericho and I are hanging out at home, listening to music, watching DVDs and catching up on laundry. I'm looking forward to buying a washer/dryer set so I can have laundry done in less than an hour!
It really is the little things, isn't it?
Great news! Enjoy the snow and relax a little bit there.. when you get to OK it will be gogogo and busybusybusy again!
