Oh, Hi.

In my last post, we had just gotten to Iowa to visit my husband's family for a couple weeks before heading down to Oklahoma to start getting settled into our new home.

So much has happened since then.

We got to Oklahoma.  Instant love.  My first thought was that it looks smaller than in the photos, but once I got inside....my goodness!  All my ideas of what furniture and framed photos would go where made sense.  We unpacked the car, inflated the air mattresses and camped out for a couple days til we got the electricity turned on.  Met the builder, Brent, and the neighbors, Jason and Tommie.  There's a little boy close to Jericho's age across the street, but we have yet to introduce ourselves.  We got internet installed, Household Goods received, and the house was slowly falling into place and organization.  The backyard had become Jericho's best friend.

Then we got the call that turned us right back around and headed to Iowa again.

Michael's grandfather had been sick for only a little while, but his health deteriorated quickly, and he passed away the morning of April 2nd.  While I will always stand by Michael's side to be with his family during a time like that, I think I'm done with road trips for a while.

Since then, things are back to normal, for the most part.  I'm slowly learning my way around the post, and I have to verbally remind myself that I do NOT need to visit the commissary every day.   I love it that much!  It has everything that the commissary in Vicenza did not - and more.  It's a domestic diva's dream!

I have taken tons of photos since our arrival, and as soon as I find my memory card reader - again - I will post what I can.  I miss Italy every day, but there's so much to take advantage of here.  New adventures, new photo opportunities, new people to meet.

Let's get started!
