Last Weekend

Friday afternoon of last week, Michael's mom and dad drove down from Iowa to visit for the weekend.  Once they arrived, we chatted for a bit and waited for Michael to get home from work.  That evening we took them to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Taco Bueno. 

Yes, it's fast food.  But until you've tried it, you just have no idea how good it is.

On Saturday, we headed to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.  Jericho had a blast checking out all the animal exhibits, and I enjoyed learning about the local Native American history.

After browsing the museum, we headed to the lake for a picnic and a glance at the fish and turtles...

...and a walk with Grandma...

...followed by a visit to the Apache Cemeteries on Fort Sill.

On Sunday, we took it easy, with haircuts on Post for Michael and Jericho, and Chinese for dinner. 

All in all, a great weekend full of activity and learning!
