Our week with my mom was a good one, but it went by fast! Jericho and I took her to all our favorite places, including Taco Bueno, and she also got to see Jericho's classroom at CDC. He had a blast playing ball with her, and showing her his favorite video games.
After a long - long - drive from OK to NC, we've settled in at Mimi's house for the month. Pretty soon we'll head down to SC to visit Michael while he's at school. I'm also looking forward to play dates and day trips with friends and family.
But most of all, I'm soaking in the cool Fall weather that NC has had for the past few days. Yesterday I enjoyed my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the year. The leaves are just beginning to take on the tiniest hint of yellow and orange. And for once, I'm not overwhelmed by blistering heat that takes my breath away when I open the door.
Just cool, crisp air - and that smell.
You know that smell. The scent of fresh air that makes you want to take the deepest breath you can muster, raise your arms and stretch your entire body while the birds sing their "good mornings."
